Use of the ILCAD video on the Lithuanian Railways internet website.
From 9th until 12th of June 2011, preventive action at high risk level crossings where drivers will be informed about accidents which have occurred in the past at level crossings and correct procedures of passage. They also will be asked to conform to the safety requirements as laid down within The Road Traffic Rules.
This action will be performed by the Traffic Police and Lithuanian Railways staff, and will be carried out at crossings which are known to be at high risk level crossings.
At level crossings which from 2009 to 2011 fatalities or injuries occurred incident warning signs (boards) will be placed informing both pedestrians and drivers of the dangers which could happen at these level crossings.
Lectures regarding the safe passage at level crossings and other railway safety requirements for school pupils from 1st to 6th class from Vilnius City area will be held in the Railway Museum.
Finally articles concerning safe passage at level crossings and safety information will be published in the Regional/National Press.
